New Virus on the loose W32.Dizan variant !
Hey Fellas !!
Back again. I hope My SohanadKiller helped you people a lot.
Anyhow, I have been informed by a lot of victims that a new virus is on the loose & is getting a real pain in a**. It do this stuff.
1. Make a .scr file of your .doc files ( newly created doc files )
2. Make your newly created file unable to send.
I digged upon it & saw that It’s a new variant of W32.Dizan Virus.
& yes, it doesnt delete or modify your original .doc file, but makes it super-hidden ( as per the internet reports said ), so that you cant see it & what you see is a .scr file with a Word icon, which is a result of change in registry that all of your .scr files opens with Microsoft Word.
The infection is reported only for the Microsoft Word 97-2003 formats ( i.e .doc files only not the .docx, which is of Microsoft Word 2007 )
It’s only about 30 infections reported to me. So I decided to not work on it’s removal tool till the reported infections got above 100. Last time, when I made SohanadKiller , the infections reported to me were about 500 approx, now, it have been used by more than 1200 people across the globe.
