Hey Fellas,

Back again after a long time ! was busy in making some projects for my degree. Anyway, I am here to announce my new project, a new distro of linux — VR*nix. Made by me & my team-mate Richa Bedi. Following are some aims for which we designed VR*nix.
1. A Light-weight Distro.
2. A Good-looking, pleasing to eyes, GUI.
3. An alternative platform for playing games ( Windows based games, usine WINE, Mono & Cedega ).
4. Easy-to-use & removing the hype of Linux from general desktop user.
5. Concentrating basically on Multimedia PC ( Not for Servers or Workstations ).

The GUI design, Wallpapers & Logo are designed by my team-mate Richa, a very good artist at work. I am releasing her work here in this post & will expect feedback of you people.

VR*nix ( Pronounced as VR-nix ), derives it’s name from our names ( ).
The distro is ready, but is undergoing various tests & enhancements. Although till yet, due to lack of time as we have full-time college ( where we waste a lot of time in attending some boring & useless lectures …duhh ), we are able to complete only the basic version of the distro, i.e basic FS support, ethernet support, GUI, file manager etc.
Till yet, no multimedia support has been added as it needs a lot of time & tweaks, in order to make it easy to use. The first version will be available next year ( not sure about the exact time, but definitely next year ).

Hey Fellas !!

Back again. I hope My SohanadKiller helped you people a lot.

Anyhow, I have been informed by a lot of victims that a new virus is on the loose & is getting a real pain in a**. It do this stuff.
1. Make a .scr file of your .doc files ( newly created doc files )
2. Make your newly created file unable to send.

I digged upon it & saw that It’s a new variant of W32.Dizan Virus.
& yes, it doesnt delete or modify your original .doc file, but makes it super-hidden ( as per the internet reports said ), so that you cant see it & what you see is a .scr file with a Word icon, which is a result of change in registry that all of your .scr files opens with Microsoft Word.

The infection is reported only for the Microsoft Word 97-2003 formats ( i.e .doc files only not the .docx, which is of Microsoft Word 2007 )

It’s only about 30 infections reported to me. So I decided to not work on it’s removal tool till the reported infections got above 100. Last time, when I made SohanadKiller , the infections reported to me were about 500 approx, now, it have been used by more than 1200 people across the globe. Here are some of the reported infections & effects of Sohanad Worm alias New Folder.exe alias Worm2007

1. Disables Run from Start Menu.
2. Disables Task Manager.
3. Disables Registry editor (regedit).
4. Disables Folder Options.
5. Drop a File named New Folder.exe in every Hard Disk Partition.
6. Disables msconfig.
7. Infects Yahoo Messenger by changing your status to a link which takes you to
the same virus’s location on internet.
8. Changes the default page of Internet Explorer to the Link to the virus file itself,
it’s user-defined & vary from computer to computer.
9. Deletes the Firefox.exe from C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
10.Get copied itself in every pen-drive that you connect to your infected computer.
11. Disables System Restore Settings.

Hey Friends !

I want to thank you for your overwhelming response regarding the software I made. It’s been a great pleasure for me that my work helped the people all around the world. I’ll be giving out more softwares for some special purposes like the New Folder.exe Removal tool and NightRun.

I have already released 36 demos of NightRun Lite & 11 demos of NightRun Pro, & people are willingly appreciating the work. All the problem is that I have priced it too high. It’s because for the same reason that for what we all are here in this world. I need to survive too & thus I can give out some great products mostly free of cost.

So, my friends who have queried that why it’s too much ? , I say to them that consider the uniqueness & scope of application of product. I can reduce price to a negotiable amount, which again depends on all of you people’s feedback & support.

Hey Fellas !!

I have found some people finding it “HARD” ( I dont know Why ! ) to use this simplest tool. For people like them, I’ll be posting a video soon, explaining ( as there’s nuthin to explain although ) that how to use my software.

BSNL Dataone HOME500 plan offers a very good speed for download & upload streams. The download speed is as high as 262.4 KB/s.

This speed is ideal for downloading or uploading very large data over internet at a flashing speed, thus saving time & money. But the only limitation is that you are allowed only 2.5 GB of monthly bandwidth usage. So this means, if u get an average speed of 250 KB/s, the whole monthly bandwidth will be consumed in less than 3 hours !!!!!

But luckily BSNL Dataone HOME500 plan offers “Night Hours” or often called as “Happy Hours” i.e the during the hours from 2:00 am to 8:00 am , the download & upload is not counted under that 2.5 GB limit, & you can transfer as much data as u want in those 6 hours. In other words, the internet is “Free” to use at that time.

Now the Biggest Problem ! Who in hell will wake up at 2:00 am everyday ??
& the answer is your computer & ofcourse without waking you up.
My monthly usage is very high, see yourself in the following picture :

I use to host a FTP Server & a P2P server during “Happy Hours”. It was very hard to me to wake up at that time & switch my computer on & connect the internet. & the biggest problem was to wake up at proper time i.e before or at 8:00 am, to switch off the internet to prevent over-usage.

So, how bout if u leave your computer on all night, & make it to connect to internet at 2:00 am exactly & disconnect at exactly 8:00 am, and all by itself, all without tempering your sleep schedule, so you can enjoy a good & sound sleep ?

So the Answer is YES ! It can be done, By using my own created software “NightRun”. It’s been almost 6 months I hv made this software & yes using it still. The above data transfer is just a gift of this software. So u can use your allowed 2.5 GB without any tension of getting overcharged, while u still download & upload the stuff you want.

NightRun schedules your computer to make it happen that it’ll connect by itself & also disconnect by itself. I searched all over the internet for such solution & was unable to find, so I made my own software to do this.

This Software is now ready for public release.

NightRun is made in two editions. Lite & Pro. Following are the features :

Hey Fellas !!

As I promised to update the Sohanad killer, I have added the functionality in it to repair any number of pen-drives attached to a computer, infected with the sohanad worm. The latest version of my tool now completely removes the Worm/Virus from computer as well as it’s primary source i.e pen-drives.

Moreover, Now there’s no need to install & use a-hijackfree too.
